Hi, my name is Honey Drake and I've been a professional singer for most of my life. I left home at the age of 19 and traveled on the road performing in different cities and states with a soul review band, and later with a number of bands from Connecticut and Florida, where I am currently freelancing with several musicians. I have been the opening act for Aretha Franklin, The Doors, The Shirelles, The Toys, and have been graciously complimented by artists who have heard me sing: Mary of "Peter, Paul, and Mary", Connie Francis, David Steinberg (actor and director), and the actor Zero Mostel (who I am sorry to say I didn't know until someone told me what an extraordinary actor he was).

Living on the road wasn't easy, especially for a young girl, but it gave me a wealth of experience that money couldn't buy, and also the opportunity to meet the love of my life, my husband Jay who is also a musician www.drums2b.com. So we are living our lives making a living from what we love to do best ... how wonderful is that!!

I've performed in Canada, New York, Boston, Connecticut, and Florida, at college parties, weddings, private parties, country clubs, dance halls, restaurants, outdoor concerts, church stages, and nightclubs. Recently I have perfomed at The River House on the River Walk off Las Olas Boulevard, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and also a recent engagement at the Mar-A-Lago. I have spent the last 20 years singing gospel music in churches, leading worship, prison gospel ministry, Christmas pageants, and outreach ministries. You will soon be able to listen to my gospel CD on my site. It has been and always will be, my passion. I've been involved in numerous recording sessions singing lead, doing background vocals and ad-libs. We are very blessed to have our own recording studio at home, called Studio 2B.

I've taken the last few years off to regroup, so to speak, but I'm back and loving every minute of it. There will be some demo samplings on this site and I'll soon have some video demos as well.
